Carol Baxter at Hornsby

When I phoned to make a booking for Carol Baxter's upcoming talk at Hornsby Library on 27th September, the person on the end of the phone indicated that I was the first person to register.

Back in June I heard Carol speak at The Ku-ring-gai Historical Society on "Writing Interesting Family Histories".  Carol was an enthusiastic and lively speaker who kept all in the audience awake and engaged. This event will not be a genealogy talk but an author talk as part of the library's "Meet the Author" series. Carol will talk about her latest book "Captain Thunderbolt and his Lady ".

If you are within cooee of Hornsby Library and have an interest in Australian History or Genealogy or if you enjoy a darned good speaker then put this event in your diary.

Full details can be found on the library website.

Hi

I am jealous as I would love to hear Carol's talk. I have heard her before and as i told someone recently because of her interest and infectious enthusiasm I could listen to carol read a telephone book! She is very knowledgeable and if you get a chance to hear her talk on writing interesting family history stories definitely do it.
