The number of blog posts that appear in my RSS feed each week has been slowly diminishing. Some of my geneablogging mates have disappeared from the scene and some are blogging less frequently. I miss you all and hope that you'll return to blogging real soon.
Apologies to Peter, Paul and Mary for the following:
Where have all the bloggers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the bloggers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the bloggers gone?
Lost in cyberspace, everyone?
Oh, we miss our blogging friends?
Oh, when will you ever blog?
Where have all the bloggers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the bloggers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the bloggers gone?
Researching, every hour?
Oh, we miss our blogging friends?
Oh, when will you ever blog?
Where have all the bloggers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the bloggers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the bloggers gone?
Lost in archives, everywhere?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the bloggers gone?
Gone to graveyards, everyone?

What a cute little song :P
I shall get back into it when I'm home on Wednesday.
I guess all my half written then abandoned posts don't count! :-)
I have been busy with an online course for work. But am in the process of setting up a new blog for my surname study.

I've only managed a smattering of blogs on my various sites this year - crammed a Diploma into one year on line - and yes it's been intensive. After 17th November I'll be back into them all with a vengeance:
http://geelonganddistrict.com/
http://justlovehistory.com/
http://ancestorarrivals.com/
And results received so far - 1 x Credit (-Q , 1 x Distinction , and 11 x High Distinctions. 5 Units and 7 assignments to finish. Yea!!!! The REALLY hard work is paying off then I can have some real fun with my blogs!
I'm suffering from 'blogger's block' and an unwell husband
Susie - what a fab achievement. Was it the SAG course?
Everyone - the purpose of this post was not to name and shame but to encourage you to blog. I have read posts from each of you this year while some people who used to blog regularly have disappeared completely.
In abeyance at the moment until I get my mother settled into Aged care. Will be back rest assured. Have a blog about clearing out her home coming soon.
Guilty! I am so missing blogging and doing family history! I am hoping to get one written tomorrow (Cup Day in Melbourne) if I can get all my work done early :)
Maybe if you can find me an extra few hours per week then I could write more :)
I'm still going, but I've been focusing on Hamilton's WW1 and since those posts are pages, they don't come up on your RSS feed. That's been a problem because readers don't know there is new content. To try and overcome that, I've set up a Facebook page specifically for Hamilton's WW1. I have written fifty soldier profile pages and five on the Hamilton War memorials and have started researching Hamilton's WW1 nurses. Also STILL going with my SAG Diploma. I have so many general Western District post drafts and ideas that I'm itching to get them out. The Western District Families facebook page has been great to continue building my audience while there is not a lot of obvious happenings on the blog. I've been serving up some of my 300+ past posts there and for most "likers" of the page, they are like new posts to them.
Hi Jill - not the SAG diploma - I did the Diploma in Local and Applied History about 20+ years ago at UNE, Armidale. Fantastic Diploma by external studies over 3 years. The current one is the Diploma of Library and Information Systems - minimum requirement for Librarian positions. Absolutely loving it and at times thought I might have taken on more than I can chew ... now down to 4 units - 5 x assignments and 1 x quiz to go. That means 4 units finished - results on 3 so far - 3 High Distinctions ... yippee!
And would you believe that as part of the current assignment I've committed myself to another Blog or How-To guide or Book or 'all of the above'!
Merron - can definitely relate to where you're at. Something I've been doing - quick Blogs to alert people that there have been updates to the web pages - automatically adding to Facebook page(s) and Twitter. I think people prefer to be told that things have been added than having to regularly check and being disappointed if they don't spot the updates. Promote your pages and your work at the same time - that's not overkill, that's being helpful!
clever!! As you know Telstra and the lack of infrastructure has put my blogging on the back burner. Slowly gearing up again.
I’ve found it has slowed down a bit as well, but it’s been a good opportunity to have a look around and find other bloggers that I didn’t know about. I’ve added quite a few to my ‘follow’ list this week. Silver lining and all. :)
Ps: Love the ‘tune’.

Thanks for your humorous take on the genealogy blogging conversations of the past week! This post made me smile. It's also a good reminder to keep on blogging, even when life gets busy. Every writer need to give themselves a break sometimes, but I know I always want to get back on that horse eventually.
Thanks for all the comments. Look forward to reading future posts from you all in the future.
