Trove Tuesday - The Pick of the Lake

This morning I decided to don my Voluntrove hat and do a few text corrections in the newspapers on Trove. As I have a leadership role in my local family history group I decided to search for newspaper articles in  The Newcastle Morning Herald and Miners' Advocate (NSW : 1876 - 1954), the regional newspaper for my area.

Today's search

I chose to search for "Limeburner's Point" a location close to my home. Most of the articles I located were for sales of land in the area which is near Toronto, NSW on Lake Macquarie. I had corrected around eight articles when I came to this one.

As I now live in one of the blocks neighbouring these sites I can attest that nearly 100 years later it is, The Pick of the Lake, an area with unsurpassed views that is great for boating and fishing. I'm not sure about the swimming as there are said to be sharks lurking in Lake Macquarie.
