A host of people responded to my Ancestors' Geneameme challenge and I had enormous fun reading the posts. Thanks to the genies from all around the world who took part in this challenge.
I couldn't be a party pooper so am responding as well.
The Ancestors' Geneameme
The list should be annotated in the following manner:
Things you have already done or found: bold face type
Things you would like to do or find: italicize (colour optional)
Things you haven’t done or found and don’t care to: plain type
You are encouraged to add extra comments in brackets after each item

- Can name my 16 great-great-grandparents (If I work bck branch by branch I can recall their names)

- Have an ancestor who was a midwife (A direct ancestor on mother's side - can't find it in my database)
- Have an ancestor who was an author (Many were illiterate)
- Have an ancestor with the surname Smith, Murphy or Jones (All three names are in my tree)
- Have an ancestor with the surname Wong, Kim, Suzuki or Ng
- Have an ancestor with a surname beginning with X
- Have an ancestor with a forename beginnining with Z (Zacariah, Zachary, Zarah, Zillah, Zonaier)
- Have an ancestor born on 25th December (4 in the tree - no directs)
- Have an ancestor born on New Year's Day (7 in tree - no directs)
- Have blue blood in your family lines
- Have a parent who was born in a country different from my country of birth
- Have a grandparent who was born in a country different from my country of birth
- Can trace a direct family line back to the eighteenth century
- Can trace a direct family line back to the seventeenth century or earlier
- Have seen copies of the signatures of some of my great-grandparents (Don't hink they could all write)
- Have ancestors who signed their marriage certificate with an X (Lots)
- Have a grandparent or earlier ancestor who went to university (My generation is the first to go to university)
- Have an ancestor who was convicted of a criminal offence (Over a dozen)

It's good to read your responses too Jill. With all those Z names did you have non-conformists in your tree?
@cassmob - I'll have to go back and look at the Z names info - I was surrised at how many there were too.
