GAGs - GeniAus' Gems - 21 May 2016

A big day out combined with a little bug saw me take to my bed instead of posting my gems yesterday. Now that today's domestic chores have been seen to I'm posting my weekly selections before the baby sittees arrive.

1. Vicki's latest geneabook review.

2. Pauleen's response to her meme. I was disappointed that more folk didn't take up this challenge.

  1. Jill, thank you for including my story about my much loved grandfather. He'd be shyly humbled to be honoured after all these years.

  2. Thanks for this post - one of my Hicks family, Joseph Henry Hicks, was married to Kate Wah Shang - sister of Caleb Wah Shang, WW1 hero of Cairns - I have referenced him on my Hicks blog site. One of Joseph and Kate Hicks' descendants, Marilyn, from up at Cairns had shared his story with me a few years back.
Joanna Olsen would be a Wah Shang descendant and relative of Marilyn's.
