Ticked Off

I'm not a fan of bits of paper but, sometimes, I just have to make a paper list. This morning I made  a list of tasks to keep me on track lest I be tempted to indulge in Tangential Genealogy.

I am pleased to report that, several hours later, I am more than halfway through the list, I am on track.

It gives me a sense of satisfaction when another item is Ticked Off the list. Now I can give GeniAus a big tick too.

  1. I liked this post. I usually have a daily ToDo List. When I am faithful to ticking off the tasks, my day goes better. I hate the days when all goes to sixes and sevens --- and I canna even find my list!

  2. Oh no....losing the list....what a nightmare! That made me laugh Joan. Jill I am a great fan of lists...on paper I confess...I would never survive without them. My husband, on the contrary, was brought up to believe that writing lists was lazy and one must commit EVERYTHING to memory. He gets very cross with himself if he forgets something. And he is the one that does the shopping...sigh.

  3. I love seeing your list. I have mine on the wall beside the computer. You've inspired me to post it and get back to checking off a few things. I'm sure it will appear on the blog soon. Thanks for the inspiration.

  4. It felt so good when I had everything ticked off. I've always loved lists - guess that's why I embraced Evernote but sometimes paper wins out.

  5. I turn to written lists hen I get desperate (my daughter scoffed at this last week...she reckons I always have lists). I used to have a big whiteboard for planning but it got left behind in Darwin...the new one just isn't big enough.

I'd love to hear what you have to say so I encourage you to say G'day in comments on my posts.
