This photo of my Dad, Allan John Curry (left), and his army mate, Vince Slattery, from the 2/7th Field Regiment was taken sometime in 1944 or 1945.I wonder if this young man is Vincent George Rice Slattery who was born in South Australia between 1918 and 1922 or it could be a number of other Vincent Slatterys that are listed on the electoral rolls available on Ancestry.
Hopefully one day one of Vince's descendants might find this post and contact me.
Hope you get a response about Vince Slattery. I am always amazed at the responses I get ---and sometimes long after I posted. Just amazing to me.
